How to Update Email Address in Glue Up CRM

Keep your contact information up-to-date on the Glue Up platform by following this simple process. This guide shows Glue Up administrators how to update a user's email address, merge contact records, and maintain accurate communication details.

Step 1: Click on Contacts

Start by clicking on the Contacts section in your Glue Up interface.

Step 2: Click on Add / Import …

Next, click on the Add / Import … option to begin the process of updating the contact information.

Step 3: Click on Add Contact and Enter the New Email Address

Click on Add Contact to create a new contact record, then enter the updated email address for the user.

Step 4: Click on Submit

After entering the updated email information, click the Submit button to save the new contact record.

Step 5: Search and Merge Contacts

Search for both the existing and the newly added contact. Then merge them to consolidate the updated email address with the user’s existing record.

Step 6: Select Both Contacts

Select the existing contact and the new contact from the search results. This selection is necessary before merging the records.

Step 7: Click on Add Note

Before merging, click on Add Note.

Step 8: Click on Merge Contacts

Proceed by clicking the Merge Contacts button. This will combine the selected contact records into a single entry with the updated email address.

Step 9: Select the option you want to keep

In this step, select the option you want to keep as part of the updated contact details. (This step may refer to a specific attribute or category relevant to your contacts.)

Step 10: Select Relevant Information to Update

Choose the specific contact information that needs to be updated. This ensures only the necessary details are merged.

Finally, click on the Merge button to complete the email address update and merge the contact records.
